Spreading the love on Giving Tuesday.
This year for Giving Tuesday, we’re highlighting a few of our favorite nonprofits that we each rally behind.
These organizations support their local communities, and each stand for something good and provide the tools needed for people and animals to not only survive but thrive.
Latino Community Foundation has the mission of unleashing the civic and philanthropic power of Latinos in California. As the largest ethnic group in the state, it is crucial that the Latino population—a community that has been consistently under-served in health, education, and wealth—has a say in our economy and democracy.

Girls Garage empowers young teens with the confidence to be builders and leaders in a safe and active space. By having integral technical skills and unconditional support, young students are empowered to build the world they want to build for themselves. I wish I had known about this program when I was a young girl, it would have helped me build the confidence to create more with my hands and learn something entirely new from the ground up.

MISSSEY holistic approach to helping girls and non-binary youth live a liberated life free from sexual exploitation and violence is a cause I firmly stand behind. Growing up in the Bay Area, I've seen peers lose their freedom to exploitation; it can be a helpless and isolating place. The groundwork MISSSEY does and its focus on helping Black girls, who are systematically set up to be taken advantage of, is essential to our community and helping these youth live empowered lives.

Downtown Streets Team is providing work opportunities and housing for unhoused people in our town, helping them with jobs and the chance to have a home, something that is virtually impossible for them to access alone. They have a big impact on the local community. Amazing work.

Wild Care they’re the first people I call when I see a wild animal in distress, whether it’s a deer or an injured bird, they are both knowledgeable and compassionate for the animals as well as the people trying to help them.
