A word from our interns.

This summer, we were lucky to be introduced to our interns John and Nemi, through our client Pivotal.

Pivotal helps young people in foster care go to college and determine their own career path, and part of that is finding them internships along the way.

We wanted to host Pivotal interns before, but since they're in San Jose and we're in Sausalito, it wasn't exactly practical. That is until everything went remote. After getting to grips with WFH ourselves, we thought we'd test the waters and see if we could still offer a valuable internship experience even if we couldn't all be in the same room together. Well, it turns out we could, and we're so glad we did!

It's been challenging and fun to figure out how to create a learning environment remotely. Still, John and Nemi's professionalism, enthusiasm, and a healthy sense of humor made it that much easier. And the cool thing is that they helped us on a project for Excite Credit Union, a fantastic supporter of Pivotal, so it all came full circle. We were able to create meaningful work in just a short amount of time thanks to our Senior Designer and rock star, Gloria, being a thoughtful mentor and taking the reins every step of the way.

Luckily, the fact our partner Adrian is an Arsenal supporter didn't scare John and Nemi off, since they support Chelsea and Manchester United. Proof that you can have different perspectives and still be on the same team.

We expect big things for these talented brothers in the future. If anyone wants insights into how to replicate their own remote internship program, hit us up, we'd love to spread the love!

Hi, my name is Nemi Ngonzo. I am a student atSan Francisco State University. I am majoring inVisual Communications, and this is my senior year.
I started working for Good Stuff Partners this summeras a design intern, and this has been the most insightful internship I have had. Some of the projects that I have been working on are creating headlines for various clients and sourcing images to match these headlines. Overall this has been an excellent experience for me.I learned a lot of valuable concepts that are pricelessin the realm of the design industry.

Hi, my name is John Ngonzo, and I attend Cal State Monterey Bay. This summer, I had the privilegeto be a marketing intern at Good Stuff Partners. This internship has been nothing short of amazing, and I have learned so many skills that will help me during my career. The main project that I worked onwas creating fun and exciting headlines with the text given. I also paired those headlines with images that matched. This internship has been very educational, and I’m grateful to have been given a chance to prove my potential.
