Celebrating art and design at Creativity Explored.

As designers, it is easy to get caught up in a routine and forget to look to the creative communities surrounding us for inspiration.

This past week Gloria and I attended Creativity Explored’s Design Friends in San Francisco to connect with other creatives, and we left far more inspired than we could’ve ever imagined. 

Creativity Explored showcases art of all different styles and mediums from artists with developmental disabilities. From the second we walked in their gallery, I was overwhelmed by the expressiveness of the artwork surrounding me.

We spoke with a few of the artists and it was amazing to learn about their creative process and what inspires their work. The way they spoke with such passion about their art reminded me why I wanted to work in a creative field.

Through art and design, we are able to be expressive, share stories, and often have a positive impact on someone. The artists of Creativity Explored definitely will have a lasting impact on me and I’m so glad I attended this wonderful event.
